Pinchbeck United secure the commitment of attacking trio Scott Waumsley, Jake Knight and Nathan Moss
Pinchbeck United manager Lewis Thorogood believes he has assembled a potentially deadly attacking combination after a trio of forwards committed to the United Counties League club for next season.
Scott Waumsley, Jake Knight and Nathan Moss have all agreed to join the Knights for next season’s Premier Division campaign.
Waumsley and Knight both netted for Pinchbeck in their 4-2 friendly victory against March Town on Saturday while Moss has impressed during his loan spell from Chesterfield who have agreed to allow their youngster to spend next term with Pinchbeck.
Boss Thorogood said: “Scott and Jake do really well together up front. They look lively and energetic. They are characters and are good lads who want to do well. They are passionate about what they do and they can finish their chances which is probably something Pinchbeck have lacked for some time.
“Nathan Moss is also doing well in the number 10 position. He had never played senior men’s football before and it is a different animal when you are getting rattled and knocked about by more physical players.
“From my perspective, he is growing and enjoying his football. He will score goals as well and it is only matter of time for them to come.
“The front three really excite me and the more that they keep playing together then I think they will be a deadly combination.”
Waumsley was with Slough Town last season and has previously played for Yaxley, Deeping Rangers and Bourne Town while Knight has recently moved to the county and has experience with St Panteleimon in the South Midlands League having come through the ranks at Barnet.
The Knights are back in action again on Saturday when they host an AFC Rushden and Diamonds side at Knight Street (kick-off is noon).
