BOURNE Grammar School boast three county champions after enjoying a successful Lincolnshire Schools Championships at Boston.

They were red-hot in the junior age group, with James McCrae, Jenna Mohan and Emma Hornsby all taking individual honours.

McCrae ran a strong race in the 800m to win by more than ten seconds in 2.12.6mins, while Mohan retained her javelin title with a throw of 28.50m and was second in the shot with a Nene Valley Harriers record of 9.59m.

Club-mate Hornsby broke a club record when winning the long jump with 5.10m, which is an English Schools qualifying standard. She also won the 75m hurdles in 12.2secs and anchored the winning sprint relay team home.
