Outstanding day for Lincs Throws Academy

Lincs Throws Academy ran the first of three competitions in the winter indoor shot put series at Bourne Leisure Centre on Sunday.

Some outstanding performances were led by newcomer James Dods who is in his first year of the under-20 men’s category.

He recorded a distance of 13.99m but has a lot more to come as he has just converted to the glide from rotation. He will be competing for Peterborough and Nene Valley this year.

Elizabeth Moorehouse threw a respectable 11.50m with her new 4kg weight.

Lawson Capes has now moved up to his first year in the under-13 boys age group and threw a very good 8.53m which places him second in the country already!
