ATHLETICS: Big day for Bourne Town Harriers
Bourne Town Harriers are organising the 10k and 3km multi-terrain races in the grounds of Grimsthorpe Castle on Sunday.
The 10k route starts at 11am at the front driveway and goes past the lake into the countryside of the grounds.
This is an undulating course with woodland, paths and fields - finishing back at the front of the castle with the backdrop perfectly set up for photos.
The 3k fun run begins at 10.15am and takes you from the front of the house, round the lake and back up the hill to the castle for the finish
This year there is a new bespoke medal for the 10k.
Entry to the grounds of the castle is free for spectators and athletes if they arrive before 10.30am.
The castle has a garden, gift shop, coffee shop and cycle hire to explore on top of the extensive grounds.
Runners of all abilities are welcome and there are prizes for the varied age groups and teams.

All profits from the race go back to Bourne Town Harriers to host adult and junior sessions.
They meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for adults and Fridays for junior members during term times at Bourne Grammar School.
