THANKS to the readers of the Lincolnshire Free Press, following your recent article about my trip to Kenya representing the South Lincolnshire Batallion of the Boy’s Brigade.
I was humbled to receive some substantial donations from your article, several were from “anonymous”, and this really is my only way of expressing my thanks.
I collected far more than my target of £1,000 – the excess has been placed in envelopes and will be passed on to the leaders of the companies we visit in Kenya.
To give you some idea, £25 will provide uniforms for a company often of nearly 100 children.
Thank you again readers of the Free Press – for those who kindly supplied me with email or snail mail addresses, I will try to send you a report on my return.
