Recently, my husband Charles has been on the Welland ward in the new Johnson Hospital.
Sadly he died after a long illness.
He was looked after with the utmost care and kindness; he could not have had any better, even if he went private.
Also all my family and I were treated with great kindness and consideration, we had the use of the relatives’ room, which was a Godsend in those last few days, and the staff were simply amazing with us all, which is exactly what we needed at the time.
I would also like to say a big thank you to all the staff on the Welland Ward, Dr Nathu and all at the Pennygate Surgery and to Clare Blades, April Goodwin and Alison Storer who looked after Charles at home as well as in hospital; thank you to you all from myself and all my family,
