I was sorry to read in the Spalding Guardian that the Oxfam shop in Spalding is under threat of closure.
Oxfam is one of those charities whose endeavour unites us all in the task of bringing emergency aid to those of greatest need.
We are about to face a hosepipe ban because of the lack of rain. This may bring hardship or inconvenience. But drought in many parts of the world is a matter of life and death.
For this reason alone Oxfam deserves our support. One way in which we can do this to use the shop.
