I AM writing to say it is a bad idea to close any of the facilities on the Chappell Centre site (Lincolnshire Free Press, November 1, ‘Back to dark ages with cuts to social care’).
The staff are trying to look after people who are challenging and disabled.
I myself look after someone and also have a family member in there and they are safe at the Chappell Centre.
I get help from Social Care and adult social care should not be cut.
We all need them at times. I’ve done care work for 26 years and I love it but not everyone can do it.
Please stop and think what can happen to these people and where can they go? Could they be put at risk?
