We can make hot air about the cycle ‘problems’ recently aired in these pages until the cows come home and nothing will or can be done about it locally.
I note recently another article about the resignation of all the parking wardens mainly due to being abused by motorists. That, and the ‘problem’ of cyclists on pavements are just two symptoms of the same problem, an increasing lawlessness on the countries roads.
The only people who can successfully deal with this sit in Westminster, London; I note that our own elected member has been very noticeable by his silence on the subject.
I would therefore, through these pages, ask our local MP John Hayes; what he will be doing for the cycling community of South Holland and The Deepings.
