POPPY APPEAL: Magnificent sum collected in Pinchbeck

Have your say

Pinchbeck branch of the Royal British Legion wishes to express its gratitude to all readers who contributed to the Poppy Appeal either at Morrison’s supermarket or via the boxes in most of the shops and businesses in Pinchbeck and West Pinchbeck.

There are now only a couple of amounts to be received, but our grand total is set to break the amount of £13,500. Of this magnificent sum for a small village, the customers and staff at Morrison’s have contributed £11,004.81.

With a total population of 5,000 or so, this represents a very high average sum per head of the population, and the Pinchbeck branch of the legion is most grateful to all those who helped in its collection efforts and to those who contributed so generously.
