“UKIP refused to back anti-racism motion”, as seen in the Guardian of May 23, calls for a little extra explanation.
There are at least ten laws that protect against racism in our country; we do not need to sign up not break the law for whatever is the flavour of the month to suit other politicians.
This motion was a deliberate trap of the ‘Have you stopped beating your wife yet ?’ variety. In or out of the party, we would never sign it. Always remember; If it is politically correct, it is probably wrong!
