Elliott Fountain has certainly got a noticeable headline in the Spalding Guardian with his pledge to cut crime by 25 per cent if he is elected as Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner.
A laudable goal, but, there is no indication of just how he would manage to make good on his bold statement.
He also tells us that he is representing the English Democrats. To me this means that he will probably try to influence the police so as to further his party’s political agenda.
I, for one, believe strongly that our police should remain totally devoid of any political bias of whatever persuasion.
I will be voting for an independent candidate on November 15 in the hope that Lincolnshire Police will not be influenced by any political party.
