LETTER: Plans to stick parking meters in the streets is outrageous

Have your say

DON’T we pay enough tax already?

Lincolnshire County Council’s proposal to stick parking meters in our streets is outrageous.

They say it’s to pay for parking attendants but do we want them anyway?

I want to live in a community where majority public opinion counts, not just the views of town hall plutocrats and green pressure groups.

When the Government was elected we were told the war on the motoring public is over. Where is the evidence for that?

Lincolnshire life is, and should remain, relaxed and on a human scale.

Whatever next I wonder – a breathing tax on the grounds that we exhale carbon dioxide.

Could they get away with it?
