As much as I like the Halley Stewart and its central location for football in the community, I feel it is time to move on and modernise for the benefit of all concerned.
Other clubs are looking at the long term future and Spalding United must do the same for the town and surrounding areas.
The same applies to the town centre development.
Spalding has a housing development programme and the town has to grow with this to cater for the growth in population over the next 30 years.
The Winfrey Avenue development will set a good foundation for the community.
