I would only support plan if it helps residents

Have your say

I was surprised to read the recent comment in the Spalding Guardian accusing me of keeping silent on the issue of possible development of Holland Market and the Sir Halley Stewart area of Spalding. (Spalding Guardian letters, February 9).

Whenever I have been contacted regarding this, as with any other issue, I have made comment if it has been appropriate to do so.

Developing this area of Spalding could be an exciting opportunity for our town and its future but at the present time no planning application has been submitted to South Holland District Council. Further information and detailed questions need to be answered.

If I lived where Mr Johnson lives and overlooked this area in question, I would also share some of his concerns.

I would only feel in a position to support any application if I believe it provides benefits to residents and this area as a whole.

I can be contacted to discuss this issue and any other on 01775 718659 or gtaylor@sholland.gov.uk
