HOLBEACH CHRISTMAS FAIR: I hope these crowds return

Have your say

Well done Holbeach and congratulations to all the organisers who put on such a successful Christmas Fayre.

It was lovely to see the High Street full of visitors and a wonderful variety of stalls plus crowds of happy people of all ages.

The shopkeepers had their doors open this year which added to the welcome to visitors.

The army tank and gun trailer at Market Hill was an added bonus.

The roundabouts for the small children in the street near Budgens added to the festive atmosphere, leaving St John’s car park free for visitors.

Congratulations to the retailers. They really excelled themselves again after their brilliant window diplays for the Diamond Jubilee were the best in the whole district and the wonderful support for the Olympic Torch relay through the town made another memorable occasion in 2012 for Holbeach.

Let’s hope these crowds will return on normal shopping days to help us beat the recession and prove Mrs Woolard wrong. She seems to want to deter people from visiting the town and she obviously avoids going there herself.
