Cream tea lovers will have a fresh chance to indulge this summer when children’s charity Action Medical Research runs its hugely popular cream teas in a box scheme for a second time.
After the sweet success of its first delivery, which saw thousands of cream teas delivered to homes, schools and workplaces around the country, including 50 in Lincoln, 38 in Stamford and 10 in Spalding, the charity is running a second delivery in August.
We are calling on residents and businesses to take a break and enjoy a cuppa as part of its unique fundraising campaign.
Its delicious British cream teas in a box – which contain scones, Tiptree strawberry jam, Rodda’s Cornish clotted cream and three strawberry creme chocolates, as well as the more traditional Yorkshire Tea, knife and serviette – will be delivered on Friday, August 7.
Now’s the time to sign up for the perfect afternoon pick-me-up, which comes in a box priced just £6 – get them before they’re ‘scone’.
