ON Monday I was travelling to Spalding about 7.30am when just through Surfleet I joined a long line of traffic going slowly behind a tractor, then a line of traffic trailed behind me.
There must have been 20 cars at least in the line. As the tractor was entering Spalding there was a large layby, but the tractor driver just sailed on right by it.
This kind of driving is an accident waiting to happen as some drivers could take risks overtaking.
Shouldn’t tractor drivers pull over where they can safely do so if there is a line of traffic behind them?
Also, may I add this is not the only hazard. The mud some tractors leaves on the road is very dangerous. I’m not against farmers as I come from a farming family myself but they need to consider other road users.
