Church concert made £500 for charity

Have your say

A SPECIAL thank you on behalf of The Priory Singers and CLIC Sargent for the remarkable amount of £500 raised at the Christmas concert given at The United Reformed Church, Spalding on Sunday, December 11.

The excellent contributions by Joshua and Naomi Baldwin, Cathy and Geoffrey Spencer and the singers were much enjoyed by a substantial audience who made their donations to CLIC Sargent at the end of the free concert.

The special contributions to the costs of the concert from several sponsors, both private and business, meant that, once again, all contributions received after the concert go entirely to the charity.

These sponsorships, which were remarkably generous considering the financial state in the country at this time, give CLIC Sargent much optimism that 2012 will see the generosity of the public be maintained, thus enabling the vital work of the charity which carries the name of one of Lincolnshire’s more famous sons to be continued to the full.

Once again, many thanks to everyone involved in this great effort.
