CHARITY: Have a cuppa and help the Philippines

Have your say

We would like to inform the community that local Oxfam volunteers have been inspired by the generous donations already received to get out their baking pans in order to help those still affected by the recent typhoon in the Philippines.

On Tuesday, in our store on Station Street, Spalding, customers will be invited to warm themselves from the winter weather by enjoying a drink and a slice of cake for a suggested donation.

All proceeds will go to the appeal launched by Oxfam, in collaboration with other charities, to help those facing the devastating effects of Typhoon Haiyan.

This event will start at 10am and continue for the rest of the day while stocks last.

As was recently reported, those affected by the typhoon still desperately need our help.

This event will give the local community another possibility of contributing. Join us, enjoy yourselves, and share and spread some seasonal cheer while helping a great cause.

All contributions are welcome at any time, and go a long way in helping Oxfam’s mission of fighting poverty and suffering.

With many thanks for your assistance and attention.
