I would like to convey my thanks to all the staff of the Welland Ward (Tulip Suite) at the Johnson Community Hospital.
In this day and age there are too many people quick to criticise the NHS and its staff, but the exceptional care and dedication shown to my grandfather David Neal in his last days before passing away was second to none.
Even though those final days were difficult and challenging to the family, we could not help but notice the wonderful medical treatment he received, and at all times of day and night the nursing staff were so friendly and compassionate with him and all of his family and many visitors.
They were never too busy to answer our questions and were always happy to keep us informed of granddad’s diminishing health and assuring us they were doing all they could to help with his pain.
Also the facilities provided by the Spalding Hospice Foundation are magnificent and made the family’s bedside vigil much more comfortable.
So from all of David’s family and friends – thank you all very much
