ENTRIES are coming in thick and fast for the 2011 Spalding Guardian Pets Factor competition in which pet owners can win some fabulous prizes.

Is your pet the purrfect cat or the cutest pooch?

Does your hamster have that winning look?

Or is your pony one to be really proud of?

We want to feature ALL your creatures, great and small.

Simply snap a picture of your pet and send it in to us with your contact details to have a chance of winning.

If our readers vote your pet as the winner, you could win a top quality dog or cat bed from Pets at Home, packed full of Mars Petcare food, treats and goodies.

In addition, the winner will receive a stunning 16in by 12in colour print of their pet from Starlight Studios.

If the winner is not a dog or cat, we’ll provide a suitable alternative prize.

So, what are you waiting for? Get snapping and get those entries in.

You can send in entries for as many pets as you like, but please submit only one entry, with one image, for each pet.

The photograph should be a good quality close-up of your pet on its own.

There are two simple ways to enter:

•Email – send your picture with your pet’s name, your name, address, daytime telephone number and mobile to

Please ensure you state Pets Factor Competition in your email subject title.

•Text – submit your entry by MMS to 88833, Attach your picture, starting your message with the word “SGPET” then a space and then your pet’s name, followed by your name, full address and postcode plus a daytime telephone number.

Messages cost £1.50 in addition to your standard network charge and should contain no more than 160 characters.

The closing date for entries is midnight on Thursday, September 8.

After the closing date, the judges will select their favourite entries and these will appear in a series of fun and colourful features in the pages of the Spalding Guardian that are not to be missed.

Our readers will then be asked to vote for their favourites. The most popular pet will be crowned as our Pets Factor winner.
