Having taken an interest in the South East Lincolnshire Local Plan, and in particular the western relief road, I see this is again referred to by Coun Gambba-Jones in the Lincolnshire Free Press, April 26.
Having looked at the plans and spoken to a council officer at one of the recent drop-in sessions, there may be a road from South Drove towards Broadway as far as Bourne Road if provided by the developer.
Also, from a proposed roundabout on the B1356 Pinchbeck Road, close to the Enterprise Park, a road to nowhere on land to the north of the Vernatts Drain – again, if built by the developers.
I was told there is no plan to connect these two roads (if ever built) before the next local plan in 2036.
Does this mean then that the Monks House Lane/Wygate Park road will continue to be the main route around the western side of Spalding for at least the next 20 years?
