Schools from all over South Holland got together to compete in a competition hosted by Holbeach and Fenland Gymnastics Club in Long Sutton.

More than 140 children got the opportunity to show off their skills in front of family and friends.

Schools included Tydd St Mary, Long Sutton, Gedney Hill, Sheapeau Stow, Moulton Chapel, Spalding Monkshouse, Gorefield, Pinchbeck East, Wyberton, Donington and Spalding Parish.

Each child received a certificate and those who scored high enough to place in the top three of each year group got a medal.

The club would like to thank everyone for their support on this fun and successful day.

Refreshments and a raffle raised valuable funds for the club and a teddy tombola made £77.81 for Acorn House at Addenbrookes.

This was the chosen charity by one of the club’s former gymnasts who last year had to have major spinal surgery and wanted to show her appreciation to the charity that provided her family with home from home accommodation.
