Lincolnshire Care Association calls for more social care funding this winter

A leading spokesperson for social care has reiterated a message to the Government that extra funding needs to be provided this winter to support the service.

In a statement, Melanie Weatherley MBE, Chair of Lincolnshire Care Association, said: “Although we are pleased that NHS Trusts across England will receive £300 million in funding to fight a possible second wave of COVID-19, we are disappointed that social care has yet to receive a similar pledge.
