Donington firefighters rescue woman after Quadring crash

Firefighters helped to rescue a woman from a ditch following a collision last night.

Emergency services were called to Main Road in Quadring after a silver Renault Megane hit a lamppost just before 8.20pm last night.

Donington firefighters helped a woman from a ditch using a ladder provided by a member of the public.

Crews also provided first aid and administered oxygen but police say there were no minor injuries.

The road was closed while emergency services attended and the vehicle was recovered. It re-opened at around 10pm.
