AWARD winning Wildcats Theatre School are opening new classes in Spalding from January.
Wildcats, who currently teach children aged between 4 and 17 in Stamford, Peterborough and Rutland, will offer students the chance to develop the three disciplines of singing, dance and drama through interactive, fun weekly lessons. The classes will be every Monday and students will be able to gain professional qualifications in the performing arts.
Wildcats have a 100% pass rate at LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts) examinations with over 500 LAMDA Musical Theatre awards being achieved by students. Over the past year the school has grown immensely with new classes in Peterborough and Rutland and the development of close working partnerships with Pineapple Performing Arts School and The Cresset Theatre. Wildcat students also have the opportunity to join, through audition, the prestigious ‘West End Wildcats’ troupe who have performed in the West End and a number of festivals. The school also represent a number of children through their own casting agency – putting children forward for auditions for stage and screen.
The classes are suitable for three different age groups. Mini Wildcats are for children aged 4-7 years, Junior Wildcats are for ages 8-11 and Senior Wildcats are aged 12-16 .
The classes will run every Monday evening during term time at Spalding Grammar School and are due to start in January. They are open to children from all schools and will run during the early evening.
