Michael Barron – who recently took the role of DS Paul Harrison in the movie Dishonoured, which was largely shot in South Holland – is playing socialite and novelist Charles Condomine in Blithe Spirit.
Two other cast members were involved in St Nicolas Players’ highly successful Vicar of Dibley – Amber Sinclair (who plays the ghost of Charles’s first wife Elvira) and Jed Laxton (playing Dr Bradman).
This may be a first in a producing role for Lucy Turner, but her mother Arline Evenden is a veteran actor with the group and is now chairman, while Lucy’s dad Richard is vice-president. Arlene is also currently busy building the set and will be stage managing this production.
Jules Jones has been involved with St Nicolas Players for nine years and has taken a number of lead roles in that time. This is her second directing role.
Other cast members include Emma Dobbs, who plays Charles Condomine’s second wife Ruth; Fiona Parish, playing Mrs Bradman; and Emily Deans, who is Edith in the play.
