South Holland councillor calls for area to be treated with respect after 3 incidents of fly-tipping in Weston

A councillor is calling for people to treat the area with respect after coming across three incidents of fly-tipping in recent days.

South Holland district councillor Anthony Casson was horrified to discover bags of rubbish with cushions, wood and other waste in a dyke close to the A151 section of Swindler’s Drove.

He also came across an old wheelbarrow which had been dumped in Delgate in Weston and was also informed of bags of rubbish scattered around Queens Bank.

Coun Casson said: “I don’t understand why it is getting like this. We seem to be getting more and more fly-tipping in this area.

“I would ask anyone who sees any fly-tipping to report it as soon as possible.

“But it has been very disappointing to see so many incidents of fly-tipping in this area.”
