Regular column from South Holland Centre in Spalding.
As the festive season races towards us, here at South Holland Centre that can only mean Panto, Parties and Presents!
For now, we’re having a quick look at some spring 2016 events – tickets for which, we’re told, are heading for some Christmas stockings.
Top of the list are tickets for Strictly Come Dancing professionals Ian Waite and Camilla Dallerup when they hotfoot it to the centre on Saturday, April 9. Audiences will be able to see this talented duo perform an array of amazing Latin and Ballroom routines and hear inside stories from their time on the show. Hurry for this one though: after the evening show sold out in record time, an additional matinee show was arranged which now has fewer than 100 seats available.
Also proving popular is a concert by a lady who managed to scoop the biggest recording deal by any British jazz singer, Clare Teal. Appearing with her Mini Big Band, Clare’s shows rejoice in her love of the Great American Songbook and more recently the Great British Songbook. Anyone who has seen her play live or listens to her BBC Radio 2 programme will know that she has a wonderfully witty and warm style and we look forward to her concert on Friday, January 29. Tickets are £22, £21 concessions and bookings are now being taken for a pre-show hot supper for an additional £14.
Meanwhile, having recently become a father himself, cheeky Geordie comedian Chris Ramsey has decided that he’s ‘All Growed Up’! Well that’s the title of his latest comedy gig and we will be hosting one of the extended tour dates on April 22.
