Youngsters at Weston St Mary Primary School have learned early that different cultures around the world can be fascinating.

Headteacher Nick Newitt introduced Panorama Project Week to introduce pupils to the music, food and art of various countries, in particular those that reflect some of the cultures and languages in the school.

Focusing on Jamaica, Africa, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden, the children were introduced to Swedish muesli by Key Stage Two teacher Mrs Ind.

Mr Newitt said: “I have introduced the annual Panorama Project Week because I want children to learn about people from a variety of diverse cultures and backgrounds, and recognise that something different can be exciting and inspirational.”
