Bouncing for charity cash Bard's visit comes a quite a cost

Bouncing babies, trampolining toddlers and jumping juniors took part in a sponsored bounce at the Liliput Day Nursery in Spalding.

More than 100 youngsters jumped for joy as they raised money for children’s charity Happy Days over a week of bouncing for the under-5s.

A visit by the Royal Shakespeare Compnay (RSC) was deemed worthwhile by South Holland District Council, despite a shortfall of £4,000.

The council underwrote the Spalding performances for £40,000 and planned to recover the cost through tickets, hospitality packages and programme sales. Sales of £32,000 were generated and £4,000 was allocated.
