I have to use two recycling bags for one load

I read the letter recently concerning the green recycling bags being now super thin these days compared to how they used to be.

I thought it was me being brutal with them as they split so easily but a friend in Spalding tells me that she has noticed that the bin men when collecting her rubbish now treat them very gingerly when they put then in the lorry.

Before they slung them in so they must know they are not up to standard or what they used to be like.

The point is are the council aware or is this a cost cutting, brain storming idea sneaked in, because it's not working as I now use two bags instead of the usual one to put the same amount of recycling in - otherwise they split open due to them being so thin compared to the previous batch of bags we had before these, which were up to the job.
