Children learn how to care for animals

A children's after-school club marked National Childcare Week with a difference by learning how to care for animals.

Kirton Kids' Club was given two talks by representatives from Cats Protection and Guide Dogs for the Blind when they learned about the work of each charity.

Later in the week, the children had a family-friendly session, when one member of each child's family could see how the club was run. They were joined by Euro MP Bill Newton-Dunn for a special tea provided by Julie Besson of Beeson Butchers in Kirton.
