Royal wedding party at centre Do you have space for our little Bertie? Training Tips

Did you have a party for the Royal wedding? Our south Lincs centre threw our lovely volunteers and foster carers a party to celebrate all the hard work they do for us.

They do so much to support the centre and all of the dogs in our care so we wanted to say a big thank you to them, and what better way to do so than with tea and cake.

We are always looking for foster carers and volunteers to help out at the centre. Please call 01205 260546 or email slincs@jerrygreendogs.org.uk to enquiry about any current volunteering vacancies.

Meet Bertie, he may look like an old man but he is only six-years-old! He’s a very friendly little fellow who loves everyone he meets! He is looking for a home where he will have someone around all day long as he can be very worried on his own. He is learning how to be more independent so a home where there is enough time to help him with this would be ideal. He is happy to walk out with some small dogs but he would prefer a home where he is the only pet, and continue to be socialised slowly out on walks. He would love a home with just adults, where it is not too busy although he does like to be kept active.

If you would like to come and meet Bertie please ring the centre on 01205 260546 or email slincs@jerrygreendogs.org.uk

Remember that rewards can be different things for different dogs. Work out what is important for your dog; it may be your attention, a game with their favourite ball or a piece of hot dog or chicken. When you are teaching your dog something new, use a high value treat to really get them motivated.
