Holbeach Young Players performed Mother Goose to record audiences/

Around 250 people, including several clubs, watched the first performance.

It was not only the audiences that were bigger - about 60 youngsters took part - making it the group’s largest-ever cast.

The youngsters, aged four to 18, performed on three nights at the George Farmer School, Holbeach. More than 800 people watched the group’s 19th annual production, written by Trudy West.

Andrew Bailey, his wife Donna and their young children Shawn, Heidi and Ryan moved out of their bungalow in Gedney Road in 1997 after it was declared unsuitable for occupation.

Environmental health officers had declared the land contaminated after petrol leaked from neighbouring Gedney Road Garage.
