WEEKEND WEB: Future pupils try out Peele in 2011

We take a look back to this week in 2011.

Youngsters had their first taste of ‘big school’ at an open evening in Long Sutton.

The Peele Community College threw open its doors to prospectiveYear 7 students.

Lesley Issott, PA to headteacher Ian Charles, said the event was a great success – and the lovely weather helped.

She said: “The whole school was open and children who are currently in Year 6 and their parents came along.

“There was all sorts going on, such as science experiments and trampolining.”
