FIND out more about volunteering and setting up community groups, plus a whole range of health matters, when South Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service holds a drop-in session.
Spalding’s arm of the SLCVS moved to South Holland District Council’s Priory Road offices two months ago from its former base in Westlode Street.
From 10am to 2pm on Tuesday, August 16 it will hold open house so people can pick up wide-ranging help on things like getting involved in volunteering, starting or developing a community group, funding, finding volunteers and CRB checks.
Health trainers will also give advice on subjects such as healthy eating, stopping or cutting down on smoking and cutting down on drinking alcohol.
SLCVS senior community development officer Gill Williamson said: “This is an excellent opportunity to meet SLCVS’s South Holland team, find out what we are doing in the area and take away valuable information that could support you and your community group or organisation.”
