Have your say

Over the last 32 years Pinchbeck has developed a parishioner’s idea to create an event that would both unite the village and encourage groups to get together to help celebrate village life.

All this would help raise funds for local good causes as well as investing some of the surplus into developing a better event for the next year.

It sounds like a tall order, but the recently held Pinchbeck Carnival was, through a combination of gritty determination and reluctance to accept less than the best, once again a wonderful display of all that is best about village life.

The hard working committee continues to demonstrate the true meaning of community by involving all the voluntary groups in the parish and encouraging them to produce floats showcasing their efforts and to help run the weekend’s events.

From a single day, the event now spans three days, starting with a bingo evening followed by Saturday’s traditional gala with stalls, demonstrations, children’s games and fantastic entertainment in the main ring. The day finished with Bad to the Bone performing in the marquee and was followed by Sunday’s traditional church service in the marquee and ever popular Sunday lunch.

Congratulations to all involved. We at Tulip Radio are very proud to be able to help you on your special weekend.
