There was plenty of fun to be had in Gosberton over the weekend, including afternoon teas, parties and human donkey races.

On Friday, more than 100 senior citizens enjoyed an afternoon tea in the Jubilee Marquee on the Gosberton Playing Field before people of all ages partied all night at a sold out event.

On Saturday, there were more events to enjoy including the hotly anticipated Human Donkey Derby.

On Sunday, five churches joined together to hold a special celebration service to mark the Jubilee.

Sue Thorley, one of the organisers, said: "The whole weekend went beautifully until Sunday when it went swimmingly.

"The seniors loved the afternoon tea and our sell out event on Friday night was brilliant.

"The Donkey Derby was really good fun and the donkeys seemed to get more and more competitive as the night went on.

"Despite the weather, we still carried on on Sunday with the celebration service.

"There was a good turnout and everyone who came had a good time.
