Armed robbers have made off with cash, mobile phones and alcohol after a raid at a pub in Crowland.
Police say the three men were interrupted by the landlord and his partner while burgling The George and Angel in North Street at 4.23am this morning.
The couple were threatened with a firearm by the robbers, who were also brandishing a hammer and a crowbar. The offenders made off with cash, mobile telephones and some alcohol.
The landlord, aged 31, and his 26-year-old girlfriend were the only people in the premises at the time. They were shaken by the experience but otherwise unhurt.
The offenders, who are believed to have entered the pub through a window, are described as males dressed in dark clothing and wearing balaclavas.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the vicinity of the pub or who has any information about the offenders is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Nicola Stafford of Spalding CID on the non-emergency 101 number.
Alternatively they can make contact anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111
