Video game review: JUST CAUSE 3 (PS4/X1/PC)

Just Cause 3.
Just Cause 3.
Have your say

The sheer explosive open world creativity just about saves this third instalment in the hit franchise from its inexcusable flaws.

It impressively builds on the success of the sequel – as returning hero Rico Rodriguez looks to liberate his Mediterranean republic of Medici homeland from the brutal rule of a sadistic general – with several hundred square miles to explore (from the sky to the sea floor) and a massive arsenal of weaponry to wreak havoc.

Unfortunately it’s prevented from ever reaching classic status from tragically slow loading times and poor frame rate issues, which gives it an intermittently unfinished feel – and undoubtedly hampers proceedings.

But if the technical issues get patched quickly – hopefully there will be just cause to add an extra mark.

Rating: 3/5
