Video game review: FAR CRY: PRIMAL (X1/PS4/PC)

Have your say

The Far Cry series goes roaring back to the Stone Age for this intriguing addition to the series.

It doesn’t quite have the same ‘complete’ feel of Far Cry 3 and 4 – with villains, supporting characters and side missions not quite being in the same league – but with a massive open-world sandbox gameplay set in the world of sabretooth tigers, mammoths and crocodiles, there’s still an extremely rewarding experience to be had.

As the last survivor of your hunting group you must battle fierce predators and outsmart enemy tribes to conquer the land of Oros – as swopping bullets for arrows evolves the franchise in a way that is far from primitive.

Rating: 4/5
