Spalding's Riverside Vets have been fundraising again - this time for Hedgehog Awareness Week.

Staff held a raffle and sold hedgehog-themed gifts, as well as enjoying a fabulous hedgehog cake made by receptionist.

Lots of gifts were donated by customers and suppliers and the surgery raised £200.

In addition, staff raffled a giant toy pug - called Doug - in celebration of National Pet Month and raised £111.

Hedgehog Awareness Week is organised by the British Hedgehog Preservation Society and takes place every year. It aims to highlight the problems hedgehogs face and how you can help them.

This year, efforts were focused on the society's strimmer campaign and stickers have been produced to remind workers to check areas for hedgehogs before using any machinery.
