UPDATE: Warning after thefts from vehicles in Baston and Langtoft areas




Police have confirmed there were 14 crimes of theft from motor vehicles in the Baston and Langtoft areas in the early hours of yesterday (Thursday) morning.

They are urging owners to lock their vehicles when unattended, and remove any valuables, after the crimes, which took place between 2.30am and 5.15am.

Patrols have been increased in the area and anyone seeing suspicious activity should ring 101 or 999.

PCSO Michelle Laughton said: "If anyone has CCTV could you please check it at these times? Please contact us on 101 if you have captured the offenders near your home."

PREVIOUSLY: Police are warning vehicle owners to be vigilant after a series of thefts from vehicles in the areas of Langtoft and Baston.

A spokesman said: "Please be vigilant, ensure vehicles are locked when unattended and belongings are removed from display.

"Report any suspicious activity around vehicles to Police on 101."
