Quadring community garden used by mums and tots' group is vandalised

A community garden in Quadring used by a mums and tots' group has been vandalised for the second time in three months.

A picnic bench and table were smashed with a bollard, a child's bicycle was tampered with, a Wendy house was damaged and litter was scattered across the community garden outside St Margaret's Hall, off Main Road.

The incident is reported to have taken place at about 5pm yesterday (Monday) and a message left on social media claimed that a group of youths were seen running away from the community garden.

Quadring parish and district councillor Henry Bingham said: "It's a shame because the mums and tots' group have worked hard and have done a good job with the community garden.

"Hopefully, the police might catch those responsible or get in touch with one of the parents."

The community garden, created by Quadring Mums and Tots group, was vandalised shortly after it opened in September when windows on the Wendy house were smashed and litter was thrown across the site.

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
