UPDATE: Swineshead crash victim named as Jim Hurley (80)

The man who tragically lost his life in a fatal collision yesterday (Wednesday) has been named as 80 year old James (Jim) Hurley from Surfleet.

Earlier today (Thursday) officers urged anyone who witnessed the collision, or has dash cam footage, to contact them.

PREVIOUSLY: A man seriously injured in a collision died yesterday, police can now confirm.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash cam footage, is urged to contact the police on 101.

PREVIOUSLY: Emergency services are on the scene of a two-vehicle crash in Swineshead and police are saying a man in his 80s has been seriously injured.

The A52 has been closed and motorists are urged to find alternative routes.

Firefighters and paramedics are also at the scene.

The accident happened near the junction of Main Road and The Drayton at about 4pm.

Police have issued a witness appeal and anyone who saw the crash is asked to call 101, quoting incident 343 of September 19.
