UPDATE WEDNESDAY 9.15AM: Firefighters remove door to free casualty after two-car crash near Johnson Community Hospital, Spalding
One person had to be freed by firefighters who removed the doors of a car after a crash in Spalding, it has emerged today.
A blue Ford Fiesta and a white Vauxhall Zafira were in collision near Johnson Community Hospital just before 11.35am yesterday (Tuesday).
Fire crews from Spalding and Donington, as well as police and paramedics, attended the scene and used specialist equipment to release a casualty from one of the cars.
Two people were taken by ambulance to Peterborough City Hospital but their condition is unknown.
TUESDAY 1.35PM: Two people taken to hospital after two-car crash in Spalding
Two casualties have been taken to hospital after a collision involving two cars in Spalding earlier today.
It happened near the Johnson Community Hospital in Spalding Road where a Ford Fiesta and Vauxhall Zafira were in collision just before 11.35am.
Two people were taken by ambulance to Peterborough City Hospital and a section of Spalding Road was closed while emergency services worked at the scene.

Police, fire crews and paramedics are currently at the scene of a two-vehicle collision in Spalding today.
A blue Ford Fiesta and a white Vauxhall Zafira were in collision near Johnson Community Hospital, off Spalding Road, just before 11.35am.
A number of injuries have been reported and a section of Spalding Road is currently closed while emergency services work at the scene.
