UPDATE TUESDAY 12.48AM: Patient taken to hospital as air ambulance joins other emergency services at crash involving a car and motorbike in Surfleet

One person is in hospital with serious injuries after a car and motorbike collided in Surfleet.

Paramedics, police and an air ambulance were called out Surfleet Road sometime after 3.30pm on Monday.

One person was taken to Peterborough City Hospital and a Lincolnshire Police spokesman said their injuries were serious, but not life-threatening.

TUESDAY 10.58AM: One person seriously injured after car and motorbike collision in Surfleet

One person has been left with serious injuries after a car and a motorbike collided in Surfleet on Monday.

It happened on Surfleet Road where emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to at 3.37pm.

The road was closed for about an hour as paramedics treated the casualty at the scene and Surfleet Road was reopened at 4.40pm.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said that the injuries were not thought to be life-threatening "at this stage".
