UPDATE FRIDAY: More South Holland schools put plans in place to reopen on June 1

The number of primary and secondary schools in South Holland making plans to reopen after the mid-term break has grown rapidly in the past 24 hours.

So far, 18 primary schools in the area have confirmed plans to welcome back Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 children during the week of June 1.

Yesterday (Thursday), Deeping St Nicholas, Donington Cowley, Moulton (John Harrox), Moulton Chapel, Quadring (Cowley and Brown's) and Crowland's South View Community Primary School all said they were intending to follow Prime Minister Boris Johnson's wishes "to get primary pupils back into schools", as laid out during his televised speech on Sunday, May 10.
